Local Efforts to Protect the Environment
Kay Lynn Plummer-Hernandez, with the Cape Fear River Watch, Inc., will be joined by other local organizations to share how they are working to address water quality issues, including litter. The afternoon will include a site visit to see their restoration efforts first hand, and participate in a cleanup along the shoreline and waterway. Attendees will have an option to clean up the waterway from a kayak or canoe! Kayaking and canoeing is limited to 17, so register soon.
Download the Preliminary Agenda for more details. Lunch and transportation to the site visit are included in registration.

Continuing education units (CEUs) for the Solid Waste Association of North American and NCSWANA, and the Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) are available for both the pre-conference workshop and conference.
